Hey, guys I need a T56 for my L33 swap and I've found one at a junkyard out of state. It has 59,000 miles and it came out of a 01 or 02 Trans am and it comes with the flywheel and clutch for 1250. Shipping will run about $135 because the junkyard is roughly 1200 miles away. I'm wondering if you guys think it is worth it to spend the extra 10% or $125 for a 1 year warranty or just deal with the 6 month warranty that comes with the purchase?

Does the warranty cover labor to pull it back out and reinstall it? Does it cover the shipping cost to them and back to you in case of an issue?

Well, from my experience thus far with the salvage yard warranties, it would cover the tranny alone, no labor or shipping. But I will double check.

Also, does anyone have any experiences with the older LT1 T56? What is involved and about how much would it run to use a LT1 T56 with my 05 L33???

i'd just look around for the ls style unit if it were me.
