Default Full exhaust on... Do I need to keep the Y-pipe support brace?

I've just installed ARH headers & Y-pipe, and I have to say I'm VERY pleased with the fit. It was a straightforward install without any problem encountered.

However, I've forgotten to put back that support brace for the exhaust, the one that supports the exhaust where the Y junction is. It's a piece of stamped steel painted black with 2 bolts on each side that attach to the floor. I've just tried to bolt it back on but it won't fit. Maybe I could try to make it fit... but I'm asking myself "do I really need this brace?".

Would I be OK without it, or does my exhaust risks falling down?

If I do need to put it back on, could you please tell me how it goes back on? I can't remember if the side with the square cut-out goes on the driver's side or passenger's side.

There is a way to ghetto rig it back on. Space it out with washers or nuts, until it drops low enough...if we are talking about the same part.

just finished my ARH header with catted Y install.

i had the same problem, the brace WILL NOT go back in. The merge of the ARH ypipe is just too big.

I am planning to call them tomorrow and check to see if it is suppose to fit back or not.
