Default Fiber Tuned Intake

I know alot of you guys are going "Here we go again!!!!", but it i was reading a issue of GMHTP and saw a new LS intake and was wondering if anyone has any opinions/has one. Its not metal so it should get rid of heat better, and its made somewhat like a custom sheet metal intake. The price listed on their website is $1650, which isn't cheap at all, but its not out of the price range of some of the guys here.

If it shows to make substantially more hp than a fast will you guys think of switching?

Tell me what you think.

oh yeah it's also designed to fit under the stock cowl on a f-body, so no cutting to fit.

I love the idea for a FI car or very high rpm motor. I will be trying one with my high boost 427.

To sum it up for you..It was a real good looking intake that was priced very well. Looked very promising, but it seemed to lack too much R&D. It worked ok for some setups, and did horibbly for other setups. I believe they are redesigning it.

I've seen/tested it.
It's more for 400+ci or FI cars. They are fine tuning it now.

from what i read in the thread above it seems like it worked on one setup and was rushed to market. Now it seems like they are using some of their early customers as guinea pigs. To their credit though they are doing a good job at satisfying the customers by taking bake the intakes and modifying them to the correct needs of the customers. The company is probably going to have a problem with customers because with the early somewhat bad press they are going to turn alot of people off. hopefully they can get everything straight and maybe offer a version for a smaller cube motor.
