today on my way to work, my check gauges light was flickering when id give it gas, and go off when i let of or was maintaining a speed. now i go out there and the light is on continuously. when i first start it, and the air pump is on the volts are WAY down, and when the air pump shuts off, the volt gauge goes up, but the check gauges light is still on. it did this a few weeks ago, i disconnected the battery and cleaned the terminals and it fixed it, and it hadnt acted up again until now. it was charging at a steady 14.5 volts with no drop on the gauge with air pump until now. anyways, does this sound like a failing alternator, or a bad ground?
