Default Thinking of some BBK longtubes w/ y pipe, opinions?

I had pacesetter lts on my lt1 car, and honestly.. I hated them. I had nothing but trouble with them and ended up getting the collectors welded to the y-pipe because they did nothing but leak. They probably blew out 3 gaskets in the space of a year... and I even tore out the threads in the head from tightening them so many times.

So, never learning from my mistakes, I am thinking of getting some LTs for my camaro.

I was looking into some BBK longtubes with the Y-pipe kit. Two things I like about it: 2 bolt flange collectors, and its cost. I know its 2.5 " per side, and thats kinda lame, but for my set up I really doubt its going to make a difference.

What do you guys think of BBK longtubes? I never really hear much about them.

I have them and i love them. Great looking header's & y pipe. Y Pipe may be 2.5" before the 3" merge at the end but i really doubt that makes much of a difference. A few hp less then a full 3" y pipe but still probably turns out being close to the same hp you get from a 3" catted y pipe. That's just my thinking lol but ill sacrifice a few hp for ground clearance.

Buy yourself some new GM Gaskets from SpeedInc.com, stage 8 locking bolts & O2extensions or Bosch Vette O2 sensor's (dont need the extensions, these are long enough. new sensor's is always a nice thing too) from Ws6Store.com. <--- atleast this is what i did.
