Which plate to use in my borla?
Ok, my 01 z28 has the mods in my sig, and it is just too loud. I had been running the borla catback wide open, without any plates, so i decided that the best way to quiet it down was to put one of the plates in it. So i contacted borla and ordered them. my question is which one do most people run? I want the car as quiet as i can get it. There is one plate that has no hole, and is just solid. Wouldnt this really hurt performance though??

ya any plate you put in is gonna hurt performance some, you are basically running an open cutout right now. any plate you put in will cut down on flow. QTP makes a special electric cutout for the borla if you would like to be able to adjust it all the time which is the way i would go.

I run a Borla system as well.....no cat/ory and LT's wide open (no plate). I would suggest trying the next plate down from fully open. You shouldn't lose too much performance being that it is 3" exhaust and the plate is nearer the tips. DO NOT go fully closed....will definitely hurt you then.
