Default MSD 6AL troubleshooting

Has anyone used the MSD 6AL Ignition Control and had the engine code P0300 for a random/multiple cylinder misfire??? I'm trying to figure out what is causing this! I have replaced the distributor, cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs, and still nothing has changed! Anyone had this issue???

did you look up misfire history to see which cylinder is misfireing? If you have cracked cylinder head it could cause misfire.

I'll check. I know it says random/multiple cylinder which tells me it is more than one cylinder doing it, and it is not a constant miss, it is random and I can feel it, its very sparatic...Could that still be a cracked head??? I hope not, these are expensive heads!

Well the "Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire" code went away somehow, and now its just a #5 Cylinder Misfire. I have had a lot of problems with that cylinder's spark plug wire burning out on my header for a while. We put a piece of kevlar on it to try and stop it, but apparently it didnt work, I think that is my problem...I HOPE...that is my problem.

There is only one fix to a burnt plug wire and that is replacing it. Most likely your issue if your still using the burnt wire.
