Default f-body pacesetter long tubes on a g-body

Anybody got any pics of how you modified the pass side header for frame clearance
Drivers side works good clearance but collector angles out a little

I've heard people dent the passenger side tube in but not as bad as mine. I'm running the fbody hooker headers. I had a muffler shop fab up an x-pipe off the angled collectors. There are some pics in my sig on how I modded the pass side header.

I flattened it almost halfway and it still lays on the frame so now I cut it and going to try to rework and weld it

That does suck. For some reason g-body tolerances seem to vary alot. Some people barely dent the tube, others need to flatten the hell out of it.

After seeing people bend the crap out of theirs to make them fit, I tried another approach. Go about 3/4" out from the flange and make a pie cut on all four primaries (not much maybe a little more than 1/16 no more than 1/8") then bolt the header on and bend it in. Tack it where you want it then remove it and finish weld it. 1/8" at the top is about 1-1 1/2" movement at the collector. I dont have any pics since my car is apart right now but I have about 3/4" clearance at the framerail. I also piecut the collector to make it exit under the hump in my x-member.
