Default 92/92, will I need larger MAF

I am taking the plunge and going with a ported 92/92. Will I need to replace my stock MAF with a larger one to accomodate the new diameter & needed airflow ?

I have read many threads stating the OE MAF can support up to 500 HP, but am I leaving some on the table if I do not change this.

I'd say that every little bit helps. A new MAF was actually one of the first mods I bought for my car, but that's because my stock MAF was crappy and made my car lean out at half throttle.

I have a 408 and a 92/92 and I still run a stock one. I'm sure they help some but I just ran 6.16 @ 112 in the 1/8 (that's mid 9s)

no if oyur MAF works fine then i would advise oyu do not change it. now if you have a big cube motor with heads and a nasty cam then i would suggest you get one. i run an SLP 85mm. but i have the FTP 85mm lid, FAST 92mm intake ported to 95mm, Nick Williams 95mm TB with it. my motor is a nasty 365 so i opted for the 85mm unit.

i say why not it will help that will be the biggest restriction if you get a 92/92...any they only run around $35 on ebay for a z06 or truck maf...kind of a no brainer...plus they have the iat in the maf so you can lose the iat in the lid which cause slight turbulence due to being close to the funnel...every little bit...especially for the price

If that doesn't answer your question then nothing will
