Gears & Axles - what gears do i have i checked the door and glove box

there are no RPO codes on the door or in the glove box for the gear ratio. i have a 2001 z with a m6

i would say 342's if your about 1700 to 1800 rpm's at 70 mph

Get yourself some 4.10s and you will be happy. Trust me, they really wake these cars up.

Preferably w/ a 9" rear-end.



BTW> I know that doesn't answer your question, but whatever your stock gears are... they are too weak for your power level.

I think they do make a howling nosie & then when ur off the gas it goes away. maybe there going out ikd I just wanted 2know so I can reprogram my car cuz I have big ass tires goin on it in the a.m.

All M6 f-bodys come factory with 3:42 gears., put 4:10's in and youll love it.
