Default Best Headers for Magnaflow exhaust?

I currently have a Magnaflow exhaust though I'm finding that I want to add a set of headers for sound and performance purposes. I was wondering if there's a good set up that'll sound good with the Magnaflow exhaust. I still have EGR & AIR so I need something that will be compatable to the emissions stuff. My original thought was to get Jet Hot LT's with an ORY. Just want to know what some of you guys have and some opinons as to what's the best set up for the exhaust I have.

Pretty much any long tubes will sound good. With either cats or a decent merge like the Flowmaster to help reduce the dreaded drone. I have Pacesetters with the Loudmouth 1 and ory which sounds like sh*t. I have the Hooker cat back I'm waiting to put on.

Honestly it all depends how much you want to spend. You can go with the cheaper brands like the ebay ones or Pacesetters (I'm very happy with my pacesetters) or for around double the price you can get Kooks, ARH or QTPs. If I were to spend a lot on headers I'd go with the American Racing headers hands down.

Here is a friends car with Jet Hot LT's, Jet Hot ORY, and Magnaflow. The Jet Hots fit very well and look really good under the hood. At least for now. We just recently installed them so I don't have any long term info on them, but for now I like how it sounds. Have a look/listen...

Do you have a sound clip of your current Loudmouth Setup? I completed my LT/Catted Y Install a little over a week ago and have them mated to Loudmouth Catback. It is loud, but I think it sounds good. I don't see why so many people talk **** about the LT/LM Exhaust Setup. I'm curious to hear your car. Especially when you say it "sounds like ****."

Second on the KooKs and Catted Y. Great quality and I had excellent gains and sound starting out my mods with these. If you have the extra $$$ you won't regret it.

I have some clips but it's hard to tell. I'm due for some better ones so I can compare with the new set up. Yours sounds good due to the catted y-pipe. Without cats, or even a better merge pipe to an extent, it is rather obnoxious at anything other than idle or wide open.

I have the Pacesetter headers with my magnaflow catback. I also have a custom ORY with the flowmaster merge. I love my set-up.

I just got my ARH long tubes w/catted y-pipe and LS6 manifold. I gained about 25 h.p. at the tires and the sound is awsome.

I think the Kook's are out of my price range and I'm really liking the pricing of the pacesetters. If I got Pacesetter headers what's the best ORY setup for those? I'm not all that familiar with the set up's so what is the ORY with Flowmaster merge?

Pacesetter headers rust. They also dont fit very well. Just remember that you get what you pay for.

mine have been on the car for 20,000 miles and show no signs of rusting (daily driven, so lots of rain and dirt, etc) and i bought them after they had already been used for quite some time. and the first time i put them in i had some minor fitment issues on the driver side, but the second time i put them in they went in like butter

all long tube headers are going to sound nice, just depends on the quality you are looking for (how much you want to spend) and how big of a primary you are looking for.
