Cranked up the TA today for the first time
I'm pretty pumped I got far enough this weekend to get the motor cranked. It wouldn't hold idle by itself but I think the IAC has something to do with it. It definitely needs some tweaking. It's got a ways to go still before it's driveable but I wanted to make sure there were no internal issues. I had a small exhaust leak from the #2 primary so I need to figure out why but it shouldn't be too tough. Oil pressure was very good though it was about 55psi. For now I'm running Dynomax bullets right off the collectors with turndowns. The car sounded like pure death though it was extremely crisp. The 12.4 compression might have something to do with it . When I get everything tweaked and set up right I'll get a sound clip but I just wanted to share my joy, haha. It's running with a pcmforless base tune. Bryan's exact words were "this car was built to run, it'll be like a rocketship." He said it should be an easy low 11 second car. Plus it's missing about 275 lbs of extra weight Rev limiter set at 7200. Basic mods are below.
355 Speed pro pistons, Eagle rods, stock GM crank
T-56
LE2 heads
Big LE cam 236/246 .592/.592 108 LSA
Ported LE manifold
Monoblade
LPP longtubes
42# SVO's

Haha what good is a video if you can't keep the car running? Plus the EWP isn't wired yet so I don't want to roast the motor. Trust me guys I will get a video as soon as the thing idles by itself.
PS...the dynomax bullets were a good choice. You can definitely tell they reduce the sound but still keeps that nastyness of open headers.

Thanks man hopefully you don't have issues with the monoblade. Did you end up getting the IAC thing worked out? I'm hoping to get mine on the road within the next couple of weeks to start breaking in the motor and clutch. I want to get this thing to the dyno like NOW, haha. But patience is the key.
