Procharger question
I bought a used procharger d1sc set up to run about 8lbs of boost, and I got it without the injectors and fuel pump. I know I need to upgrade my fuel system and clutch. Is 8lbs of boost safe for a stock 98ls1? Or do I have to get forged pistons, stronger push rods etc before I drop in the blower?

I would install an in tank Walbro fuel pump and 60 lb injectors, plus a tune. Bob

I already have long tube headers, ls6 manifold and the kit also came with the twin aftercoolers. What is the maximum boost I can run without hurting anything? I want to also upgrade my heads cause I heard that the heads on a 98 dont flow that good but I am not shure with which heads to go with. I just want to get as much power as possible out of the blower without puting my engine at risk.

Seven years boosted, two years on 13psi and made 612 on a stock bottom end. I drive it a few thousand miles a year, make quite a few track events, and drive it hard pretty often.

These threads are quite comical Always goes like this: A guy starts out asking some basic questions- most obviously the one that every forced induction noob wants to know naturally- "how much power can i make on my stock engine". And he's obviously done a bit of research to know that 8psi and 500rwhp would be a general consensus for what everyone would say is the limit.. But then, in step a couple of people who have had very unique results of 600 or even more rwhp and claim to have been doing it for a very long time. This gets the OP thinking that they can somehow repeat these freak isolated incidents and a few months later down the road we have another FI carnage thread stating that the ringland on the #7 piston broke, and then the next step questions fly on asking advise of how to build up a good forged engine and what stuff to put that will handle boost they tried to run on their stock engine but didnt work out quite so well.. Its such a vicious cycle lmao. Good luck with it all dude- whatever you decide
