Default Car died again....need advice!!!

After installing a new AC Delco alternator and changing the battery 3 weeks ago I thought the car would be good to go. I had no problems with it until yesterday when I noticed the "check gages" light come on. I noticed the battery gage showed power in the red zone and was on the way down. Luckily I was near my house and just before I arrived the battery level droped to 0 and the lights went out while the other "check engine" and abs lights started lighting up. Just as I pulled into my driveway the car died. It's a 2000 LS1 Camaro with 125,000 miles and routine maintanance every 3,000 miles. Has anyone had this issue before or know what it could be?

sounds like you have a short some where you can test it with a multi-meter see if its draining while the cars off. also check all your grounds especially under the hood with 125,000 you may just have a loose connection somewhere. hope this helps
