Default Another swap question.

I have an Lt1 with 45k on it which was too good a deal to pass up that i plan to throw in a 72 skylark i'm working on. The question being....whats the fuel gph/psi requirement for the Lt1 and i need to run a return line to the tank correct?

im not sure of the pressure but yes you will need a return like off the regulator to the tank

41-47 key on not running

at idle, should decrease 3-10 psi.

so anywhere between 31-44 at idle.

this is according to my chilton manual, 1997 and earlier. 1998+ has higher numbers.

Keep in mind this is after the fuel pressure regulator. The pressure prior to the regulator will be higher.

So a 60 psi inline pump with free flow of 110 gph is def gonna feed it correct? What about regulators...shouldn't it be pre set to correct pressure or do i need a regulator? On top of that, how hard would it be to run the return line to the tank. I wont need to add vents or anything like that will i? And last but not least, the radiator setup, would any electric fan setup fit the connectors or am i better to source an actual lt-1 setup. Sorry for all the questions but this is my first retro swap and i'm alittle out of my element. Thanks for the help guys.

You might try to post your questions in the conversion section. You might find more help over there.

That pump you mentioned sounds sufficient. Just use the stock LT1 regulator on the rail. Don't think running a return line will be too difficult, just secure it to the feed line and trace it all the way back to the tank. I'd look into seeing if a vented gas cap would be required.

You could ask in both.

I wasn't trying to say, don't post in here, just saying that you might find some specific answers there.
