Well i have just finished a bunch of work on the camaro. It is still a stock bottom end with 90 thousand miles,Patriot heads, and cam motion cam.Using one stage of nitrous i was able to run a 6.36 @109 with a 1.31 sixty foot. The converter has to go back to be tightned up because it is blowing through in high gear. The air shifter wont even pick up the two three shift i guess because it is so high up in the revs.Tires still have to be screwed cause they are rotating one full turn on launch. It should be in the mid 5's soon as i get the converter back and spray a second stage.Better times coming soon..

very nice. similar to where i expect myself to be next time out on stock heads. having the same converter issues you are having.

whats the raceweight? how big of a shot? you can pm if you want it left secret.

Not sure of the weight, but no interior,ac,bumpers and anything else not crutial to goin straight, but does still have power steering.lol...I am using a NX 200 wet shot and am picking up 202 to the wheels.

haha sounds like it is pretty light weight then, just doing some comparing to my car and seems we are pretty close. I would be right there prolly quicker on 200 in my first stage as well. but converter probs could hamper that.

im at 3360 though with full interior.

great great runs. wish we had more of these stock block fast cars around

How big of a second stage are you gonna spray? Must be a big one to knock off almost 1/2 a second!

Nice times BTW

Well shot the second stage and shot all the coolant out the tail pipes. It was on a spectacular run till it gave up. I will be putting it back together tonight and trying it again sunday.Just hope it didn't get a piston this time.

The second shot was a 150 and it got a piston. Looks like it got water in it and then it died.Patriot ls6 heads and cam motion cam 236/242@.595-.605.New motor coming in a week.Goin to a 404 with a direct port system and a plate system. 8's comin soon i hope...

Sorry to hear that. Good luck with the new motor!

BTW what kind of tune up did you have in it when it popped? Jetting, timing, FP, plugs, etc????

CHEVYMAN434

Had 22 degrees of timing tr8's aftermarket fuel system. The car was great,it was all driver error. I figured out you need to turn on the water pump before making a pass>lol......

damn have you ever checked your plugs? that is a ton of timing based on what my car likes with a similiar setup. on a 150 we run 17 and it seems to be perfect.

weird. haha

Better slow down or your gonna blow the 404 up to.

Wrong plugs, to much timing and who knows what else.
When you turn the 2nd kit on shit gets complicated.

Well i got the new motor in the car and took it to the dyno on saturday. It killed the trans on the second pass but still had high gear so i went ahead and sprayed it anyways just to get the tuning done. It has low dyno numbers but this car allways is low on the numbers. It made 610hp and 561 ftlbs on a 200 shot. Motor passes were really low i guess because of the tight converter.I made 600 before on the stock motor but it has picked up a bunch of torque on the new motor. The tuner could see it has a restriction in the intake and it started to drop off by six thousand, and says there is alot left by getting a fast setup so it can breathe. So new times coming real soon....

Went to the track tonight and it wasn't what i was lookin for. Ran a 6.21 @114 w/1.39 60'. It slowed down on the sixty foot goin from the 350 to the glide. And the new motor just dont wing like the old stock bottom end. It still has the stock z06 intake on it so i will try a fast setup because when i was gettin it tuned it leveled off at 6200.Tuner says it runs out of top end and he can see it in the map sensor. This was on one 200 wet shot also. Havnt started to bring in the dry yet, just wanted to see if it would stay together first.lol...
