Default Manual to Automatic transmission harness swap.

If I buy a complete harness with pcm, engine and transmission harness that is set up for a six speed...can I change it to an automatic without any major hassle?

Are you going to convert to an Electronic Transmission?

If so, you would have to go through it and re-pin the PCM Connectors with the proper wires, and get the Connector for the 4L60E.

Yeah, I would probably go with a 4l60E. Sounds like a bit more trouble than it's worth. Sounds like I should find a harness for an automatic. Thank's.

If you already have a M6 harness I would sell it and buy a A4 harness. Since everyone wants to swap in a M6 you should have no problem either selling yours an buying what you need or just swapping outright.

True..you should be able to find an Auto Harness easily, or even trade for one.

I was watching one on ebay while I was posting questions about it. It had the engine harness, transmission harness, pcm and the o2 sensors for a buy it now of $289 and I wasn't sure if I could use it, so I didn't bid. Someone else got it before I could. lol. But at least now I know. Thank's for everyones help.
