Default What kind of tranny oil should i use??

I have a 2000 z28 camaro and its a a4 and i need to change the oil on it just wanting to know which kind of oil should i use any help woild be great thanks

Amsoil atf. However that may be a little slick. Thats what I use but im M6.

just use the castrol atf or whatever they got in the auto parts place. just make sure its for GM.

I wonder what the deal is with all these guys running just type F in them? theres a couple builders here in town that run that in there performance trannys. They all seem to hold up, just dont know if I would do that in mine.

i heard synthetics are hard on high stalls...not sure if thats true though

I just run standard Castarol Dextron III fluid that is made for older domestic cars. I get it at autozone for like $3.00 a quart.

yep, non synthetic dex III. I ran RP atf, and I swear it was too slick and caused premature clutch failure. The clutches wouldn't hold. With this tranny, I'm running Valvoline ATF.
