whats the lowest hp you have ever heard of someone lifting both front wheels at? not necessarily sky high, just both off the ground.

I've seen a 17sec S10 pull one wheel off the ground launching. Just proves that high hp is not necessary

I make 380 and the car is heavy. I have a vid on a camera which ever so slightly showed a OEM WS.6 17" rim pick up off the ground. I was impressed when my car did it on a Nitto, but I really picked up when I put the bias ply on and a set of skinnies.

True. When I was running IHRA Pure Stock with my untouched LT1 I would pull both front tires about 3".

I've pulled the wheels on "stock internals" cars with slicks on the back, both had 4.11's and had some weight reduction.

not starting an argument, but I would think stock weight on front could be made up with a change in rear suspension geometry. Gearing tends to go along with tire and converter.

yea its really all in the suspension and a M6 or A4 can do it just takes seat time.

a good amount of torque will also help you pull the wheels. hp helps more on the top end and torque is your hole shot

I was running 12.2's and on the video I lifted the stock ws.6 tires just a bit. I was making 380hp then.

that's why you get a torque converter with a high stall and high stall ratio. tougher with a m6 (it can high stall but it has a stall ratio of 1:1) so you're stuck with whatever the motor can make on its own.

I agree but taking stuff out or relocating = neglible cost.

I learned that trick running classes that had weight requirements. You cant be under a certain amount but you can remove it and add balast.
