Default ac will not come through vents

My ac will not blow through the vents, only comes out in the floor. It blows cold air though. Any ideas what could be wrong ?

Look for a small brittle hose. It is a vaccum hose and it is broken.

It switches between floor, dash and defrost on a vacum. If you look up in the corner between where your computer is and the motor youll see a little black line. Thats the line that goes into your firewall to switch your controls. Follow that around and see if its broke somewhere.. It "T's" by the engine.

So, it come from the engine and "T's", one goes thru the firewall and the other goes inside the loom up to the passenger side corner where there is a little cannister.

Look for a small vacuum line that connects to the back of the intake manifold. It's not easy to see it but it's back there.

It's a simple vaccum line. I was going to ask if you have had your intake off recently, but being an 01, you already have an ls6 intake. Chances are, you're not pulling enough vaccum through the line to switch the hvac controls.

its a tiny black hose that attaches to the rear of the intake manifold. I messed up mine while swapping intake manifolds and now i have the same problem. just reach your hand to the back of the manifold, its on the other side of where the brake boost line connects.

This has happened to me twice. It can be a plastic bypass valve. They sell them at autozone for like 2 bucks. It is pretty small right next to the computer and it has three hoses going to it.

I am having a similiar issue. All of the vents switch fine except the dual zone a/c position. It only blows to the floor and nothing comes out the top vents.

Actually, I guess this is a different issue.

Replace it, or you could get a piece of rubber hose with the right size id (maybe 1/8"?) and use it to patch a bad place.
