How big of a pain in the *** is it to make room for a 15X10 wheel in a 2000 camaro? I know the bumpstop will need to go, but is there anything else i should know?

It's not really the wheel that causes the issues, it's the tire size. So it depends more on that.

I've had 2 different sets of 9.5" rims on my car, and there was PLENTY of room to go a wider. However, my wheels were 16" and 17" in diameter, so the larger rim may clear some things like spindles in the front or bumpstops in the rear, that the 15" rim might not. But as has been mentioned, rim width isn't the only thing you have to consider. Wheel offset and tire width will be the final issues to what will/won't fit.

AND, if you don't currently have an adjustable panhard bar, you might need one, in order to EXACTLY center the rear axle, to maximize your clearance.

If you put a bias ply on there, it does distort and grow so like said tire is a concern. Also rim choice that clears stock brakes matters.

I expect as we have done on a fellow moderators low 9 sec nitrous 402 car, to roll the inner fender lip, some bashing on the inner rail with a hammer and bump stops coming off. We also trimmed the inner lip of the bumper and on the opposite side. No adj LCA needed to fit a 28" tall ET Drag.

The inner fender well in front of the bump stop needs a bunch of BFH work. I'm running Hoosier QTP and I only have about 1/2" clearance on the inside.

Sorry, I should have mentioned the tire size. They are 275/50/15s. Hopefully it won't be too bad!

How about 275/60/15s, 28", on 10 inch wide wheels? What does it need to fit those in a 3rd Gen Camaro 93-02?

I keep the bumpstops, just cut the outside of them a bit. But it easier just to unbolt them, and you'd probally still have to grind down the welded nuts they bolt to. I didn't have to last year running 28x10.5x15s etdrags, on 15x10 7.5 BS wheels, up to 125mph. But rolled my fender anyway this year for the fasted times and to lower the back more. There some info and pics I put here.
