Default Rebuild Rear end??

I was thinking of rebuilding the rear end instead of replacing it with a different one. Is it possible to stay with the 10-bolt and rebuild it to handle 500 HP? It's an automatic transmission with 3200 stall and I don't plan on a lot of track time. What would be the best things to upgrade and what would be a waste of time to upgrade? Or would it just be cheaper to replace the rear-end completely?

Hmm, so I guess I should look into a 12-bolt maybe or the 9''. I heard a transmission girdle (or whatever it's called) will help it...anyone know anything about that?

It's up to you. If you're going to put drag radials on it an try for best ET's, then I'd say replace it with a 12 bolt or 9 inch. But if it will only see the track on occasion, with street tires, then I would say build the 10 bolt. That's just my opinion though.
