Default How much is my 4l60e and vig3200 worth?

Ok so i'm bored sittin here thinking like always what i want to do to my car and a th400 swap has ran through my head. Few things i gotta check on first though...

How much could i sell my vig3200 for? it has around maybe 2-3k miles on it and maybe 30-40 passes in my 13 second car, It still has the free re-flash from vig so it could be whatever stall size whoever wants... $500-$600 sound right?

What about my 4l60e, tranny has about 39k miles on it, original tranny in the car, fluid and filter was changed when the stall went in a few thousand miles ago. Could use a re-build if you wanna race it as it is just a stock tranny, but works perfect for a street car. I was thinkin in the $200-$300 area?

What do you guys think on the prices? To make the swap possible i would have to be able to cover the good majority of the price with selling the old stuff....

Let's hear what you think...

Stalls seem to be going for around $4-450 lately. Your trans seems like a good deal though!

So think i could get more out of the tranny? If i were to do this i would have to cover the big majority of the th400 swap costs.

$450-$500 too much for the 4l60e?

It depends on where you are planning on getting the TH400 from. If you are planning on getting a built one from a sponsor it is going to run you probably upwards of $3k or more. I would be surprised if you were able to get more than $1000 for your current setup. On top of the $3k for the new trans you will still need a converter so by the time you get those and new yoke for the driveshaft and fluid and all the small items you are going to be looking at probably $4k for the build and thats being pretty conservative. Keep in mind this if you are getting a new Th400 from a sponsor. If you have some hookup where you can get one for really cheap from a junkyard or something that is in good shape then you might be able to pay for the majority of it with the money from your old components.

Ya i can get a set-up here in town for about 1800 for everything... If i could get a grand out of my convertor and tranny i'd be happy. Think its possible?
