How much rwhp to trap 130 with an M6?
Just trying to get a feel for how much power is needed for an M6 car to go 130 in the 1/4. I'm guessing at least 550rwhp? Anyone who has experience with this post up some details (power, torque, basic setup, weight, gear, etc.) Thanks!

Some of the cam only guys have trapped over 130. Last year I trapped just over 127 with 412 rwhp. My combo was a TRex, 4:56 gears, ls6 intake, just under 3000lbs.

Well the lighter the car, the less power is needed. Gear it up for about 4.30's and rwhp can be high 400's I got a bud with a cam only 02 z28 m6 car with 4.10's making about 420 and he si near stock factory weight, a little more due to a 12 bolt and he is about 160. The car does consistant 117 and has peaked 118ish on a colder day. If the weight was cut, then he would be north of 120.

If you've got a lightweight car that can pull 1.4x in the 60', it does not take much. In a full weight street car on 17's it's a bit more difficult lol.
My car went 127mph at the 1000' (rev limiter). It makes around 530-550rwhp n/a and my race weight was 3850.
