Default factory oil put in LT1's?

I am in no way trying to start an oil debate with this thread. I was just curious... what oil was put in Lt1's from the factory?

What does that have to do with anything.

The OP is looking for feelgood useless information, I am sure he would have like to think it was Mobil Clean 5000. You went and ruined that for him.

An honest intelligent answer would be

Whatever was cheapest!!!!!!!!!!!!

Motor oil.

But seriously, I'm sure they just used whatever conventional oil was available/cheap that was working with them at the time or for that year. Nothing special.

Exactly, they buy it in bulk, usually the cheapest guy wins

well what might seem useless and "feelgood" to you might be interesting to me. it's a topic that i have never seen brought up and i thought it would be interesting to know. and why would you assume that i "would have liked it to be mobil clean 5000" ??? that is ridiculous.

i don't guess you can get a straight answer or have a discussion on this forum anymore without people coming in and being jackasses.
