Default Unplugged ASR (traction Control) box.. will it mess with ABS?

This car is going to be a auto cross road race car only. I do need to KEEP ABS. The car is missing the button to tun the traction control off and I really don't want to buy another one..... For now, I just unplugged the module. ASR Off light came on and the car will now blast the tires. I NEVER plan on having it activated and will eventually replace the cables to the non traction control ones.

Question I have is: Will disconnecting the module screw with my ABS or anything else on the car as far as pulling timing or shifting with the trans.
I want to keep the ABS... Only takes a second to flat spot an R-compound... at $250-$315 a tire I will keep my abs.

(car came as auto and will be converted to m6 in a few months... I just need it to work for next two events I am running)

I did the search and found mixed info about what effects just unplugging has.

Thanks!

No, traction control is a "client" but having it fault
off will not bother the ABS any. You can just pull
the connector on the pulley-cluster and it'll fault
off at key-on, and plug it back in for the ride home.

Thanks for the info!! That is what i was hoping to have confirmed. As for the ride home.... it will be sleeping in the trailer, resting from a day of beatings!

Car will be a track ***** and will be gutted and weight reduced very shortly. I am going to run it as is for a base line and then start changing stuff to see how much faster it is around the track. I was tired of doing that to my 19k mile Z28 and worrying about scratching it up.

So let me get this straight. I can just unhook the module to this, and it will have no i'll effect on anything else? I am so sick of having to turn that stupid thing off every time i get in the car, and i dont want to pay SLP $75 for their stupid module to reverse it.

WHere is the module at? I'm assuming in one of the fuse panels.

it is the black box in the front corner of the pas side of the engine compartment with the throttle cable comming out of it. Just unplug the connector from it. That is all I did and it worked fine. No more ASR. No codes either.

Oh ok cool i wasnt sure if i could just unplugg the connector, or if i had to unplug a fuse or module some place.

Thanks! I never drive the car in conditions where i need traction control so its worthless to me
