Forced Induction - GTO Procharger - dual valve springs?

I'm going with a D1 for my 05 A4 LS2 GTO. The motor is completely stock with roughly 36K. I will have exaust and fuel upgrades...

My real question is, for reliability/longevity for the engine, should I go with dual valve springs and hardened pushrods for insurance? Should I worry about lifters?

I plan to only push 7-8lbs of boost...the car is somewhat a garage queen, but may see some strip duty...

thoughts?...

thanks.

what's the reason behind not changing lifters?

You are not pushing that much boost and not spinning the motor very high.

We use the stock lifters and rocker arms on a lot of builds. The springs and pushrods are the weaker items, as has been mentioned. Bob

I try to put dual springs on all the cars I modify for safety, that way if one spring breaks the other holds the valve from falling into the cylinder and wrecking shop. Not a bad idea with the added stress along with the pushrods.

Stock lifters are sometimes the best ones you can put in until you get into big money items btw!
