Default flowmaster merge after ORY??? yay or nay?

whats up yall. im about to get my kooks 1 7/8 w/ ory installed soon. i will have a 3" allpro cutout being installed near the grommett on the passenger side. using a magnaflow catback through a stainless steel cme (ebay).

i will have heads/cam in the future and more than likely an ls3 swap too. should i run a flowmaster merge after the ory? will it sound good? i cut the cutout for loudness so im thinking i should do it so i don't attract cops.

2nd question.

will my stock clamps be big enough for my 3" piping. i heard it will pinch my piping. ive also heard the stockers are fine.

can you guys help me. ill post pics when this is done within the next few wks.

also, my slp dual/dual with 59k on it will be for sale. make offer! pics will be up soon for it,it's in great shape.sounds good too.

The flowmaster merge piece is a well-designed one IMO.

thanx for the pics torched. did you put that flowmaster merge on recently? i listened to your exhaust sounds in the past and that was too raspy for me. i know you had a loud catback (corsa i think). what did you use for hangers the stockers? she i get bigger ones? if so, how many?

Not a problem with the pics. I put the merge on last year. So the soundclips that i have posted since early this year and last year was with that same setup minus my bullet muffler in the i pipe. I have a GMMG c/b. Yes it was very raspy.

I have a kooks o/r y too. i cut off the merge that was already on the kooks and i used ss piping i think a 45* and 90* so that i could get my FM merge to fit onto the kooks y pipe. My bullet in the i pipe is classic chambered POWERSTICK.. 3" IN/OUT.....

Let me know if you have any more questions

lol so you have 3 mufflers. maybe you were better off with a catted y lol. im def not going to cut my ory like your crazy *** but ill look into that bullet classic that your talking about. what do you recommend for lenght? im going to be running a electric cutout so i won't it as close to the grommet as possible. i don't want to overshoot it too much ya know.

so basically im going to have to cut some of the magnaflow piping to compensate for the bullet muffler and electric cutout correct?

i appreciate the help buddy ill be posting vids and pics when she's done.

Here is a pic where it show my merge, my bullet and E-cutout..

Yes you are going to have to cut down on the merge to make room for the bullet muffler. And i got the medium powerstick

sorry to hijack this thread but I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between the catted Y and ORY visually at least. I know there's cats but can you still use the Flowmaster merge with a catted Y? I've heard so many good things about it is why..... but if someone has a recommendation for a high-flow catted Y, I'll go away

LIke you said, a catted y is jsut that has cats on it. And o/r y has no cats. and yes you can put a fm merge on a catted y
