Default How much hp????

Thoughts on HP output on a 94 Z28 A4........

Brand new (yes new from GM) stock short block $1200.00
Trick flow 195 heads $750.00 (new, forum member)
Comp 305 cam (220/230, .510"/.510", 114 LSA) $250
Ported/polished LT1 intake $250 (used)
LT $250 (used)
Cut-outs $100 (new)
Total rough cost $2550

How close to 375-400 crank hp....325-350 rear wheels?

I will also get the 4:10 gears and the 3500 stall.

With a stalled auto probably somewhere around 350 RWHP depending on how good the tune is. I know you got a deal on those heads but there are better choices than the trick flows like a set of ported stockers. With a set of Lloyd Elliott's heads or advanced induction heads you could be upwards of 375 rwhp maybe more even with a smaller cam like the 305.

You may not even get 350 to the wheels through the stalled auto, but who cares if it can ET well.

Autos should set ET goals, not hp since they are at a severe disadvantage in the dyno games.

with a dyno tune.....not a mail order.

I have not purchased the heads yet. I am debating going the above route or something else (the other route is a little more $$). If there is a way to get power like this for close to this price I am all ears...

How much to port the stocker heads?

LE cams I hear are awesome, but I am looking for near stock rumble.

I am simply comparing the new GM toy to the old GM toy so I was looking to see HP #'s. The last toy was an LS1 (294 to the rear wheels).

For a set of LE2 heads you'll spend $1350, those are his most common sold becuase they can be safely used with a stock bottom end. His cams are $300 and he'll spec them for your setup. If you tell him what you want out of the car and what you want it to sound like he can hook you up. Advanced induction charges like $1975 for their 200cc heads and a custom cam. For their 190cc heads and a custom cam it's $1750. For someone looking for what you are I don't think there's a better choice than one of these two with a custom cam.
