Moser 12 bolt, Eaton Posi with broken spider gear
Need help please!!
The car is a transam with a d1sc on it, it is a m6 with around 775 hp. My last pass was a 10.32 @ 138, and weighing 3900 lbs the rearend takes a beating every launch (1.53 60').
I have a 12 bolt moser with 33 spline axles and a eaton posi. When i loaded the car i noticed the rearend was making a noise and the drivers side wheel was wobbling. So i have the axle pulled out and it is bent along with 5 teeth missing from the spider gear.
What should i do....replace with the same parts or go bigger and better? What is the best locker for this rearend? And are 33 spline axles big enough?

Well, your first problem is using a 12 bolt with an M6, lol. Since you can't swap rears that easily, I would say go with 35 splines and a full spool. It'll be stronger and for how quick you're going, a posi is just extra weight. I'm not even close to the power you're making and I went with an S60 because I know it won't break on me no matter what I do.

You can go with stronger spider gears and clutches in the 33 spline setup. I agree the 12 bolt would not have been my first choice for this application but you have it so make the best of it. Let me know if we can help you out.
