Ok, I am trying to figure out what size street tire (non drag radial) to put on my 15x8 w/ 5.5bs Summit Star wheels.....Any suggestions? I have a 275-50-15 Nitto Drag Radial on there now....They are getting down to the wear bars and the rain does not get along with them......Thanks

I have heard good things about the bfg drs and the Mt drs. Go with mt for more hook and less miles. And go with bfg for slightly less hook and many more miles. What i've always heard.

bfg's are great! now this is just me and my car setup but i cut better 60' with bfg's than i did on slicks.

grab the 275/50/15 MT's. i put them on my 15x8's and the look great. hook like a ****! i believe the have a lager cross section then the nittos as well.

If your car is lowered go with the 275/50/15 ET STREET RADIAL, if its not lowered go with the 275/60 ET STREET RADIAL, It seems to have more (MEAT) on it and last longer on the street. I have customers that get about 9-10k miles out of them on the street.

why run a 50 if its a lowered car, i was gunna run a 60 and my cars lowered on eibach springs, whats the big difference

55mm (2-1/4 inches) difference in diameter/height if you sit them side by side.

so why do u people recommend them for only lowered cars, the 50's that is, will they rub

They never said only lowered cars. And the reason they say that is that a 275/50 will let the car sit down on the tire and make it look like it fits. The 275/60 would be too tall and I guess it may possibly rub.

But if you're going to race the car you also need to take into account what height tire you need to optimize your setup if that's what you're looking to do. Instead of looks.

If your having problems with Nitto's in the rain, I don't think the MT or BFG drag radials are better.
