New camaro gearbox rating

Default New camaro gearbox rating

Hi,

I know the t-56 is roughly 450-470 lb-ft.

Does any one knw what the gearbox out of the camaro is rated to?

Its a TR6060 and at the stock weight of the car, I would say 650-800 is pretty safe. Lighten up the car and that rating should go up a couple hundred hp without issue.

Agreed, race weight will determine how much stress on the trans and other driveline related parts.

I am pretty sure the TR6060 is not compatible in the fbody due to a different input and output shaft.

But, I think there is a version that has the tr6060 internals and the old shafts called the tremec magnum
