Default Lid vs ram air..

I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this,but,What is better a lid or something like volant or a K&N setup? And which one is best..?

I do not like the volant because it is open to engine heat..

I would think your best bet would be a lid with a Fast toys or Super Sucker Ram air system.

clear or black plastic itll do the same job.

get a lid so you can use a ram air system...otherwise they would be equal mods...

due to the way the air enters the system, i've always felt that the volant/K&N setups were better used on the WS6. it allows for a more direct shot of air for the engine.

however on the camaro setup, without the front hood vents (shy of the ultraZ hood) you are proably better going with a lid and SSRA or FTRA.

my SSRA was a great mod, really added power at higher speeds.

simple install with basic tools. only hassle is cutting the airbox. but a good knife will do the job...if you're careful
