I got some Hooker headers just installed on my 94. They dont have the O2 sensor holes in them. I plan on running some collector extensions to bullet mufflers to turn downs. Should I just drill and weld a nut onto the collector extension. If I do that what should I do about the wiring for the sensors? Can I buy longer ones or do I just have to cut and rewire them?

You should buy O2 bungs and have them welded in.

Use O2 sensor extensions instead of cutting/crimping.

You need to get a pair of o2 sensor bungs and weld them in at the collectors. Do some research for the optimal location. I'd use new AC Delco o2 sensors and some Caspers Electronics o2 extensions.

I cut / then solderd my own extenishons when i use to use o2 sensors. Takes maybe 20 minutes to make your own and saves some cash.

I used 24". I figured if they are too short I am screwed and need to buy more...if they are too long, you always have zip-ties and those are A LOT cheaper than another extension...if you have excess, tie it off.

Also back to the OP...you need those front 2 O2 sensors so get some bungs and have them installed on your headers. As for the rear 2 O2 sensors, don't tune them out! Get O2 Sims and stick those on there...The computer likes that better than tuning them out...

lol, just making sure he doesn't try and completely get rid of em lol. They control that Air/Fuel ratio and getting rid would be bad juju...I was just emphasizing that lol

Negative, the rear o2's have no affect on A/F ratio, they only monitor the efficiency of the catalytic converters.

I got a pair of 24" ext because, as stated, it's easy to ziptie the slack and still look clean.

OBD1 cars only have 2 o2's. OBD2 cars have 4 o2's.

The rear o2's do not affect fueling on our cars. Only newer cars from 2005+ w/ can obd2 deal with that issue. They can alter fuel trims a bit if they detect issues with cats efficiency. Again this does not apply to LT1 cars...
