so i want to replace my tr230 with a ms3 or someting of that nature and i will be replacing my stock lifters with this. now i know i will have to pull the heads and im worried about ptv clearance if i deck the heads. im not talking heavy milling just to make sure i have no problems when it goes back together. i have heard of people putting the heads right back on. but i have done several sets of heads on factory motors. (neon, cavalier,etc.) and i have always decked the heads. any help would be great. thanks in advance.

A clean up pass of .005-.010 is not gonna hurt anything. If you have a valve job done while the heads are pulled it will recess the valves some and help regain the clearance lost from cleaning the deck. Either way you will be fine.
