i have not had any problems with my 04 yj since i bought it. but the problem might lay at the hp and tq makeing the body twist just enough to cause the ecm to throw a code. or just knock it out. i have 400 and 390 on mine and we are good.

to yellowjackets point - if you buy it you may want to install a stronger cross brace and a couple of engine stiffy's with all that hp trq. will assist with reducing wheel hop as well

BCM has nothing to do with body twist, it controls all the dash related stuff like: gauges, cruise control, heat, A/C, wipers and transmission on 04's. I believe 05-06's have a separate control for the trans called a TCM.

It shouldn't "go bad" you should just have to reset it. When you get an alignment done you have the code that has to get reset. Thats is my experience
