Well guys more bad news!!!!!! Got the new clutch(Mcleod Street twin) in after waiting forever for it & gave it a nice break in, everything seemed great, no chatter and car drove great. Got to the track yesterday, let the car cool down for a bit, then jumped in the staging lanes.
I got up to the line did my burn out, staged the car reved it it to 5k and dumped the clutch when the lights came down. Loud BOOM, car moved about 2 inches and thats it.
At first I thought I blew up the DS, but looked under the car and it was fine, then was thinking how the hell did I blow up the S60????? Well I didnt, we pushed the car off the track and into the pits. Then noticed the DS wasnt spinning at all, none of the gears worked and you could leave the car in gear with the clutch out and the car stays running, so then I notice you could shift into any gear with out the clutch being pressed with the motor running.

Thank God:angel: Jeff aka Badhawk happened to have a trailer there and gave me a tow back to Speedinc, wich would have been at least $300 tow if not way more. Thats a true LTX brother and I owe him big time!!!!!!!
Thanks again Jeff I couldnt be more greatfull for the tow!!!!!

So my thoughts of what happened is the clutch exploded or the input shaft snapped.
If the clutch went I hope Mcleod stands behind there and takes care of everything. I did not spend 1300+ labor for a proper install for 1 burnout. After all its supossed to be the end all to all clutches and the price tag shows it.
Speedinc has the car and will look at it today. I pray everything goes ok and I can still make it to the shootout, after busting ass to get the car together I dont have a spare penny for this crap! :(:(:(

complete tear down and re-install on a new mainshaft.. Sounds like you need the viper-output upgrade...

If you've rebuilt T56s a couple times, it's an easy fix, if you haven't.....

A new mainshaft will be $150-$250 depending on where you get it. If nothing else is wrong, you have to spend an hour or two (or 10) stripping all the old gears/synchros from the broken shaft, and installing them onto the new one. If you have to to pay a shop, there will be $100-$400+ labor charge.

If you upgrade to the viper output, you'll need the ~$600 OPS kit, and the same amount of time or labor-charge to install it..

So Ive got a couple qoutes and it looks like for about 500 I should be up and running, now I just need to hear back from Speedinc. If thats it and they can get it done. I should be OK for the shootout. Well see what they say soon. Wish me luck!!!!
