LS4 Performance - 2006 impala ss preformance mods

Hey i just got a 2006 impala ss as my second car and i was looking for some tips on how to get more power from the car. i was looking at the k&n intake, the magnaflow catback exhaust and the diablo sport predator tuner. The problem is since i live in ny, the intake isnt street legal. any one know any other intakes or any simple bolt on mods like that to get more out of the car. any help is greatly appreciated.

why is the intake not legal?

and approximately how much would a dyno tune cost?

Thats false, ive had 2 NYS inspections both at a chevy dealer. Niether time did they say anything about my k and n.

FWIW, my inspection shop has never failed me for my intake...and last year's was at the dealer. IIRC, only NYC and Westchester county is as strict as Cali...the rest of the State is still "normal."

Regardless...once you install the K&N, you'll know how to R&R it for inspection time, even if that were the issue.
