San Diego: I need the names of any and all car clubs in our area I need a paint job and I want to save as much money as possible, that's why I need the name of your car club. I was told a couple of things:
1) an auto body shop will "rape" a lot of customers when it comes to pricing
2) you can often find a car club member who has their own paint shop setup in their garage or backyard - and they will paint your car at a lower price than a body shop would charge you for it

? Even if he was trying to bust people... what could he do? Make you file taxes on the sale?
Unless its illegal in CA to paint in your own garage.

It's illegal to paint without a booth that has proper filters and such for the fumes/chemicals of the paint. BIG epa fine if you don't use a booth!
