Angry headlight going crazy

My headlights on my trans-am are pissing me off. I think that it is the gear that needs to be replaced, but before i buy one, i thought i should ask yall. The headlight goes up fine, but when they go down the right headlight motors keeps going even after the headlight is all the way down. After like 5 seconds, it stops. If anyone knows what is going, please help me out.
