Electric Fans?

Electric Fans? As most of you other LT1 owners my car always runs a little hot nothing outragious but I would still like to keep it down a little bit. Is there any way to keep the fans running all the time on my car(94 Z28) short of putting in a switch? Could I have it reprogrammed to run the fans at all times?

Yes you can reprogram the computer to run them all the time or add a switch. adding a switch can set the fans to only run with the key in on acc or run. It would not be something that you have to turn on or off every time.

I would reccomend getting a tune and they can adjust the temperatures that the fans come on at. Having the fans on 24/7 is going to severly limit how long each fan motor lasts as well as draw a lot power from your car.
But also as stated above, both fans turn on high mode when the AC is On.
The reprogramming/tune is the best bet other than throwing in a manual fan switch. I personally just got the tune, you are gunna need a tune at some point and it will yield power gains so why not have him do a little extra and change the fan temp settings, instead of buying an aftermarket on/off switch.

Reprogramming the fan temps would be best. You don't want or need them on all the time. It is a waste of generated power/HP and wear and tear on the fans. Plus, it is just not needed.
