I'm wondering if i will be better off with something bigger, or is this the biggest one they offer. In a few months ill be installing a Yank (most likely) 3600 stall and i want to go ahead and install the cooler now so that its one less thing i have to do later.
What do you guys go with?

I'm running two coolers... I bypassed the radiator. I have a permacool rail cooler mounted in front of the radiator, and a B&M mounted under the fans. I'm going above and beyond with two, I just had the room, and wanted to be safe. Its all about where you mount it. In front is the best, under the fans is less effecient. The fans pull air away from the cooler, and the engine heat keeps it hot. Most products will tell you what they will handle. I have a 16x3inch cooler, and it says up to 500 horses...

I just went to pepboys and got a Hayden plate and fin cooler for a 30,000 lb motor home. I mounted it in front of my radiator and my trans temps never went above 170 or so even in hot 95 degree weather in stop and go traffic. I did bypass the stock cooler through the radiator too.

I might have some pictures I will have to look on my other computer and see. If I remember correctly the only thing I had to buy was a piece of high temp transmission cooler rubber hose. The piece that came with the cooler was not long enough for the way I hooked it up. It was a couple bucks for like 2 feet of the cooler hose.

I'm in need of this advise as well, I'm running a 3200 vig, installation advice and pics would be great my way as well! Thanks and was their a part # for the pepboys hayden cooler????
Is there such thing as to big of a cooler, I mean does the temp have to be between a certain temp. I would hate to get a giagantic cooler and worry about the tranny not getting to operating temps???? Just curious!

I am going to be installing my Yank 3600 soon, so i need a trans cooler as well. I am just curious if it would be better to run just the seperate external cooler by itself, or run it through the stock radiator cooler and then through the external cooler. Or does it even make a difference at all?

Here's mine. Passengers side, raise mounted in front of the condensor. Putting it up against the condensor is BAD. **** loads of heat from the cooler goes right in to the condensor, then the radiator. This way it mixes with the ram air from the air damn and there is no hot spot on the condensor killing that area for cooling.
Thats my power steering cooler on the drivers side behind the air dam.
