Does anyone know what to do if I want to get rid of my air injection system? My headers have provisions on them for the system so do they make any sort of plug or block off to prevent the leak? What about for the back of the intake?

Yes, they make blockoff plates for the AIR & EGR tubes. Most of the vendors sell them. What I did when I removed mine from the back of the engine is I just removed the one big hose going to that valve mounted to the drivers rear engine & of course removed the metal tubes. I left that valve there until just recently when I did my LS6 intake swap, I then removed that valve & left it off. My AIR pump is still on the car, I had someone with HPTuners disable the pump & code reporting.

you can easily make blockoff plates with metal and cut them out to size.

$12 blockoff plates with gaskets...

if i remember correctly, the hose just sort of wraps around behind the intake and plugs into either exhaust manifold. the only other connection is to the air pump (on our cars). there should be no connection to the actual intake manifold.
all i did was disconnect the fittings from the exhaust manifolds (and throw on the blockoff plates) and simply disconnected the hose coming up from the air pump.

just because i hate the sound, i used hptuners to keep the airpump from coming on. i keep the pump and part of the hose in there just in case i have to reconnect everything for emissions testing. its only like 6lbs anyway.
i have all my egr/air stuff sitting in a box with my ls1 intake just because california requires smog tests with visual inspections every 2 years... i have to put it back to stock every 2 years.
