Default 6.0 hp?

About how much rwhp well my set up make? It is stock 6.0 w/ ls1 crank,balanced,rod bolts,Main studs,patriot stage 3 heads milled.030,ls6 intake,28lbs injectors,Ms4 cam,lth,3" y-pipe,4 exhuast single in single out mufflex ehxaust,4l60e w/3600 coverter and 3.42s?

You're gonna need bigger injectors.......

Should run pretty good, probably be over 450rwhp in a M6.....always hard to tell with big stalled auto's though.

Round about whats size injectors should i run? dont want to waste money on injectors that are gonna be to big..

you can never go too big with injectors, because you will tune them to run at whatever you want. but you are limited to the amount of the stock ones thats why people go bigger.

Not necessarily true, going too big can cause driveability problems even after tuning. If you've got 60lb+ injectors on a 450rwhp n/a motor you're gonna have a helluva time controlling them at idle/part throttle. A set of 42# green tops would be a good choice for the OP. They're really easy to tune and will more than suit your fueling requirements......even have considerable room to grow. I'm around 500rwhp with green tops and my duty cycle is 73% at 7200rpm.

Green tops are ford SVO injectors.

idk maybe, i have motron 60 lbs on my 490rw n/a car, and idles perfect, prt throttle is excellent, but on sd tune and tuner is very good at tuning lsx.
60's were going for same price as 42's at the time

Not at all saying it isn't possible, just can take a lotta work and at the intended power level it isn't necessary.

I have a fair amount of experience building Megasquirt fuel injection setups. It seemed like the closer your idle pulse width got to the opening time of the injector the harder it was to tune. I always tried to get injectors that would allow me to run an idle pulse width of at least double that of the injector opening times. So, injector quality has a fair amount to do with the tunability of larger injectors. I'm not sure this applies fully to an lsx though, since its a sequential FI system and the Megasquirt setups are batch fire.

Your going with a very similar setup as my combo i'm building. 38's would probably do it but 42's give you a lil room. This is a portion of a PM sent to me by FI INJECTORS a vendor here on the SVO injectors:

the spray pattern on a Design II Bosch or SVO (color) top is made for a 4v engine. the spray pattern is very wide and will wash down your intake runners.

They are also extremely noisy.

The Design III Bosch is actually your stock injector.


He sells the Bosch design III in flow matched 42# for 239.00 very close in price to the green tops but are the correct injector and from what I remember Aaron (405HP ZO6) saying are easy/freindly to tune.

You need some 42lbers. I had SVO 30lbers in mine from my old 347 setup and i was maxed out. I just switched over to 42lb blue demon injectors and right now im over 80% duty cycle with them on my 370 6.0L.

I'm making about 450rwhp on my 6.0 right now...

I've got some F.A.S.T. 36#ers in there and it's at a 72% duty cycle...

Like JFM said, call someone who knows injectors. Jon @ FIC.com is a great guy to talk to about injectors. He realistic with what you are planing for horsepower and he will set you up. People on here start drinking the Kool Aid and think they need 42's or 60's in cars that do not need them. A stock LS7 (505 crank hp) uses 39 lb injectors and you can tweak those engine and still use the stock injector, so that should give you some perspective.
