Quick question. My smog check is coming up and I need to put my EGR and airpump back on the car. BUT they are turned off in the PCM. Will a smogcheck station know that ? My last smogcheck on my 95 Z28 they did a visual and used a wand like device on the windshield to find the PCM. I have minor mods, wait4me tune, lid. Cats still in place etc.

They will scan the car for codes but from what I know it does not detect that codes have been deleted. As long as your car passes visual and tailpipe and the pcm communicates you should be good to go.

Also make sure to have driven the car for atleast like 100 miles without clearing codes or disconnecting the battery as it does check to make sure atleast 4 out of the 6 monitors have been run by the pcm.

I also have a 160 stat. and CME. I remember when I got dynoed that the sensor had a difficulty reading the AFRs thru the CME tips. Yes the car will be plenty warm on smogday. Gotta put all the crap back on which will be a PITA.

Since your car is pre-96, they will not scan it for codes since it is OBD1. On my '95 Impala SS, I have a reprogrammed PCM from PCM4Less, 160 Stat, headers, RandomTech Cats, and a 6 speed. Passed like a champ in October 2008.
