A good sleeper cam would be either a 212/222 .544/.544 114 LSA or 218/224 .544/.544 111 LSA. The second grind is comparable to the Crane 227 which is a well known sleeper cam with a touch louder lope. Nothing major...you probably wouldn't notice it much. Of the two, I would go with the Crane 227. Emission/Smog friendly as well.

Mine sounds almost stock (222/226), even without the cat on. But I do have the idle set at 900rpm to help get that sleeper effect. Just changing the idle from 750 to the 900 made a big difference.

seen 323rwhp outta the 227
and 358 outta the zz4
both engines had ported heads full exhaust and larger injectors and underdrives, but not much more than what you have

For a sleeper, I would look for a 114 or higher LSA, mild duration, but higher lift to make up some for the milder duration.

Sorry Elliott, I realy just want it to sound stock, for now.
Would this be a lumpy cam... 218/224 .544/.544 111 LSA (with the 111 LSA)?

358hp would make me very happy, that is around 412 crank HP (137hp over stock). Add a 150 shot or a STS turbo and bam new rear end, will be fun doing though! Any other sugestions for a mild cam that will put me in this zone.
