Question Hal QA1 for drag racing!!!

Hi guys i'm new in the board.I have a 98ss M6.I have a 4.10 gears,LS6 intake, spect stage3,aluminum flywheel and free mods on my car.In the last 2 weeks i race with a 98 WS6 A4 with cam TR224,3.73,hookerLT and exhaust, and many mods more.So i won the race for abuot 2 1/2 car lenth the today i raced with a 2001 ford ligthning this one ran 8.18 in the 1/8 mile and 12.96 best in the 1/4.We punch in the highway from 3er gear full throtlell up to 6th gear side by side but i not have programer and i hit speed limiter in my car.
Ok here is my question today i both a pair of nitodrags 275/45/17 and i going to go to the track to see what can i do with the car.The hal shocks are a good investment for me know?I look for some 1.7s in the 60' to go in a solid 12s is what i spect.
Please people with experience using them let me know your feedback. Thanks for your time.

You're saying you went into 6th during a highway race? Your speed limiter should be 160. So you hit 160 in 6th gear with 4.10s? There is no way a Lightning would pull that kind of MPH, they are as aerodynamic as a brick.

No, Hals aren't worth it for you yet. Get some real tires or power mods first.

Also, did that WS6 have a converter, and was it from a stop or a roll?

Remember i have the factory programing so my speedometer has a wrong reading. That is why it hit the speed limiter but i think we went about 125 to 130mph.
And i can't believe when i so that truck side by side in 6th gear at full Throtle, it aerodynamic really works.
With the T/A was 3 runs first was roll from 1st gear, them from stop but i stole the hole shot and last from 50mph.It not have converter now he broke a vigilante.
Man hard to work with the LS1 edit?I,m like to buy one because i can use it down the road with my future mods, but i'm a little scare blow something on my car.

HALs are worth it if you have future plans that include the need for adjustable suspension, your stockers are worn or you just want them. Thats for you to decide, will they instantly knock your times down via the 60', maybe but so can your driving skills. Go with the new Series R fronts first, this will ge the weight of the car over your rears much better and launch easier.

Ok, I didn't think about you not having adjusted for the gears. The Hals will help weight transfer, but I don't think it will make enough difference to really hook hard on Nittos. Go for some headers instead.

fastsspr has a good point about maximiaze that power by gettign spent gases out of the way, but your 60' is going to be hurting. Get the front Series R and rears, you will do much better on DR or not then without them, the fronts WILL transfer what you have to the rear, then finish off the power develpment, just my .02
