Default Trans problems!!

Okay, so I don't own a f-body anymore, but I do own a 2001 Chevy Cavalier 2.2 Lt. Right now I am having Transmission problems and was wondering how much you think it could cost to fix the problem. Or do you think I could get my car guys to fix it cheaper than going to a shop. Right now, the problems I am having are: Incorrect Gear Ratio, Torque Converter Clutch System Stuck On and Throttle Postion Voltage Low. Do you think I should risk my friends working on it or go with the professionals? If so, how much do you think it could cost? Please keep in mind that I am a girl. I know some stuff but not alot, so please no big techinal terms.

With the info you've given-I'd say you should be able to fix it for some where between $100 to $2300.
