Why don't they fit? Is it because the Hooker headers utilize the first and last bolt holes that are closest to the primaries and the stock headers (and gaskets) use the outter most first and last bolt holes?
Pacesetters are the same way. I just went to Autozone and found a nice pair of copper header gaskets for a SBC (same as LT1's) and they have little hooks that can use either of the two bolt holes.

the problem is the flat spot on the head, uhm... ill get a pic later, but basically the d port of the head is dwarfed in size compared to the the big *** port on the hooker long tubes, anyways, the bottom left and right corners of the longtubes, are basically open to the side of the cylinder head, the gasket doesnt cover it up either and the flat spot on the head doesnt extend outwards that far.... i dunno wtf to do.

So you are saying that the ports of the headers are larger than the exhaust ports of the heads. That's fine. Are you also saying that the gaskets won't seal the headers to the head?

i have the same headers and i used the gaskets that came with it. It seals my headers fine but is actually a little bit smaller than the exhaust ports of my heads. It is restricting my exhaust flow a little bit.

ill have to get pictures. basically looking at the head itself at the port, the bottom left and right corners of the port, the header pipe is taller than the D port, its more of a big *** square thing, anyways, it matches everywhere on top but like 3-4mm past the bottom of the port itself, well in the corners, this allows the header to be open to the open atmosphere, it WOULD only be open to the gasket but i cant find a gasket to fill in that void.
