Blown head gasket
I am looking at buying a 2nd 99, the only problem is that it has a blown head gasket I think! The ls1 has water in the oil , but he clams he just changed the starter and he starter it and it just blew! ( just kinda hard to believe that)I have been spraying mine with a 100 shot and i have 145,000 miles on mine. He clams the car has never been sprayed , so i don't know. I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE

B4 U hand him the cashola:
1. Compression check.
2. Pull the vc's, and see if all the valves are where they are supposed to be.
3. Cut the filter open.
4. Pressure test the cooling system.
If he changed the starter.. Could the previous starter have been trashed by a cyl full of water? [The engine was cranked, and that took the starter out?]
The "new starter" spun the engine, and this time the water lock jacked the head up, blowing the gasket?
As mentioned above... NO DEAL unless the heads are off, B4 the $$ change hands.
IMO, an "agreement" to correct the issue[s] AFTER the sale is pretty much unenforceable...
